300 Men by Andrew Lupton

Finally it was here,
the battle of Thermopylae.
I tensed.
I could see the Persians.
Fear.

The Persians archers fire their arrows.
Clang.
My shield feels heavy.
Surprise!!

The Persians charge.
I am at the front of my army.
The Persians are charging towards me.
Waiting

Clash!!
The Persians hit me.
I push forward and use my spear to stab the enemy.
The Persians come in battle pulses.
I slaughter them by the drones.
Bravery.

The battle is not over yet.
But even if I am victorious or not I know that I am a...
Hero.
